Teaching

Jacob Lassetter is also a passionate voice teacher. His students frequently sing leading opera roles and oratorio solos, win competitions, and go on to attend prestigious graduate schools such as the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the University of North Texas, and the University of Minnesota. His students have become Apprentice Artists at Des Moines Metro Opera, chorus members at Cincinnati Opera and Mill City Opera, and have sung with various theatre companies, including Theatre Cedar Rapids, St. Croix Falls Festival Theatre, and both the Broadway and national tour casts of Les Misérables.

Mr. Lassetter has served on the faculties of Luther College, the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, The University of North Texas, Lutheran Summer Music, and the Bassi Brugnatelli International Conducting and Singing Symposium in Robbiate, Italy. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Voice at Webster University, and also maintains a private voice studio.
